For those of you that remember the pics and video of the Westie Walk at Weston Super Mare last Autumn and live close enough just wanted to give you the following date for your diary.

Sunday 5th October - meet at 10.00 am at the Miniature Railway (not the Land Train) on Weston Super Mare Sea Front.

Anyone that attends and raises or donates a minimum of £5 gets a 'doggie bag' and a rosette for their Westie and there is the opportunity to have a snack at the Cove Cafe (dog friendly) or one of the other dog friendly cafes in the area at the end of the walk. For £1.50 you can have a ride on the electric train with some of the other Westies and get yourself and your Westie in the Group Photo (as we did last year with Jean and Daisy). This will be Bradley's third time this year and Rosie's second. The proceeds go to the Dogs Friends Charity (the organisation that we were walking Rescued Westies for before we got Rosie). They are also very grateful for any old towels, blankets etc on the day.

It is quite an experience walking along Weston Sea Front with Westies absolutely everwhere and watching 'normal' members of the public doing a 'double take' at all these little white dogs, loads of which are sporting colourful Rosettes Laughing

I've just checked and it's about 3 and a half hours away from us Sad So we won't be there Sad What a shame, I'd of loved to go.

Maybe some of us could have a go at making some leaflets for westie paw prints, that you could hand out? Very Happy

Good idea...I could maybe design something...when I have some spare time...and perhaps you could all print them off and hand them out to your Westie friends...vets, groomers....

Would be lovely to see you there Dazie - Pinky will be fine with my two - they are really friendly.

The idea of some leaflets for Westie Paw Prints is great - I would be only too pleased to hand them out but I am not at all artistic so wouldn't be much good at trying to do them myself Rolling Eyes

you could do some of these they are free and you can do lots of other things with them but you have to pay for those, I know quite a few people who have used the freebie items and a guinea rescue did some and gave the login details to members who wanted it so they could order some to distribute. Just a idea.

It has always been too far for us as well.

But we have 50 local westies registered for the Westie walk in Rugby on June 8th in aid of our local air ambulance.

Allowing for some not turning up it should still be quite an impressive sight with them all. Very Happy

I would love to go again. I had a fantastic time last year and the weather was good to us. So long as Daisy and I are both fit, I will definitely go.
